Barn Raised
Rams
At Barn Raised, all Dorper rams are kept intact so we can thoroughly evaluate their structure, growth, temperament, and overall performance on pasture. We maintain high standards for the rams we retain in our own breeding program, selecting only those that best complement our long-term goals for muscling, efficiency, and breed type. Rams that are not selected for our program—whether full-blood or commercial—are made available for sale after one year of age. These rams are healthy, functional, and high-quality individuals; they simply may not match the exact traits or pairings we are prioritizing within our herd. This approach ensures buyers receive well-grown, thoroughly assessed rams without compromising on quality.

Mars
Mars is a Full-Blooded Registered Dorper Ram. He has sired more
than 20 lambs over the past 3 seasons and is ready to move on to a
new pasture. He is very ornery, as most good Rams are, but is healthy
and still has plenty of breeding seasons left in him. Mars is 4 years
old and does have registration papers.
Luke
Luke, Max’s only son and a 75% Dorper ram, is the cornerstone of our commercial ram production. He carries his sire’s presence and power, marked by a broad, blocky head and stout frame. True to his personality, Luke isn’t shy about using that head to claim what he believes is his—making him both a bold pasture presence and a consistent producer of strong, confident offspring.
