Darby is a sharp, high-awareness female with a big personality and a strong sense of responsibility to her home and stock. Naturally protective and a little quirky, she keeps a close eye on her surroundings and doesn’t miss much — traits we value in a true ranch dog. She bonds deeply with her people and works with intention, showing confidence and grit without needing constant direction. Darby isn’t for everyone, but in the right hands she shines: a thinking dog that wants a job, respects her boundaries, and gives everything she has to the people she trusts.

Within our program, Darby plays an important role by bringing a different dimension than our more mild-mannered females. While many of our girls lean toward softer, highly people-focused temperaments, Darby contributes intensity, natural guarding instinct, and stronger environmental awareness — helping us produce a wider range of working styles and better match puppies to the homes and jobs they’re meant for.
